Welcome to Remembering the Fallen of WW1
The aim of this site is to try and keep the memory of those who lie in the commonwealth war grave cemeteries across Belgium and France alive by means of providing information about the following where possible;
Their Service Histories.
Details of the action they were in when they were killed.
Their social backgrounds from the 1911 Census and earlier.
The men featured on this site are from all ranks and all walks of life and in most cases are recorded on here next to the soldiers that they are laid next to in the cemetery.
They only account for a small proportion of each cemetery featured, but hopefully in time a more complete picture will be possible.
