*Official war records list the first name as being Sidney,but extensive checks have shown that no Sidney had been born to this Boundy family and therefore it is my belief that this is Sebastian Boundy.
Born in Ashreigney, Devon in 1886.
His parents were Andrew Harris Boundy(1840-13/07/1903) and Emily Harris(1851-1897). They were married in 1871.
Sebastian had 5 brothers; William(born in 1872),
James(1873-1927),Andrew(1875-1894),John(born in 1884)
and Robert(10/10/1889-04/03/1955). He also had 3 sisters; Emily(born in 1877),Susanna(1878-1942) and
Ann(born in 1881).
In the 1891 census the family are recorded as living at the
New Inn Ashreigney,Devon,where Sebastian's father was the innkeeper.
In the 1901 census, Sebastian is living and working on his uncles farm that was called Hook farm. It was situated just outside Ashreigney,Devon.
Sebastian enlisted in London and his date for disembarkation into France was on 24/08/1915. He was killed in action 01/07/1916.
He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star ,
the 1914-1918 British War and Allied Victory medals.

Brother in law Thomas Henry Baglin( born in 1880) who had married Susanna Boundy on 06/08/1907 was
Private S/2755 10th Battalion Rifle Brigade and was
killed in action on 14/08/1917 and is remembered on the
Menin Gate memorial in Ypres,Belgium,panels 46-48 and 50.
