Born in Torquay,Devon in 1897. He was baptised in 1898.
His parents were William Frederick Orsman(born in 1868) and Louisa Ellen Cornall(born in 1870).
They married in 1895.
Reginald had 2 brothers;Frederick Cyril
(21/07/1900-1975) and Edward Harold
(17/08/1901-08/05/1990).
He also had 2 sisters;Beatrice Violet(born in 1898)
and Winifred(born in 1904).
In the 1911 census he was living in Croft near Buckfastleigh,Devon and working on a farm. His father was also a farm labourer.
At some point between April 1911 and 1915,Reginald appears to have emigrated to Canada as his place of enlistment was recorded as being Dumbarton
New Brunswick in Canada.
His date of disembarkation into France was on 06/10/1915.
He was killed in action on 01/07/1916.
He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star,The British War 1914-1918 and the Allied Victory medals.
