Born in Tiverton Devon in 1895.
His parents were Thomas Parkhouse(born in 1856) and Sarah Ann Gardner(1855-1925).
They married in 1876.
Harry had 5 brothers; Frank(1879-1908),
Charlie(born in 1880),Tom(1884-1899),
William(born in 1891) and George(born in 1892).
He also had 2 sisters; Emma(born in 1886) and Annie(born in 1888).
In the 1901 census the family were recorded as living at 1 Cox's Court, Tiverton, Devon. Thomas was employed as a general labourer.
In the 1911 census,the family were recorded as now living at 9 Park Street, Tiverton,Devon. Thomas was a Borough Council general labourer. Harry was employed as a fishmongers errand boy.
In 1915 Harry married Winfred Needs
(14/061896-1973).
Harry enlisted in Tiverton and his date of disembarkation into France was on 21/12/1915.
He was killed in action on 01/07/1916.
He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star,the 1914-1918 British War and Allied Victory medals.
Exeter and Plymouth Gazette - Friday 21 July 1916 - "Pte Harry Parkhouse son of Mr and Mrs T Parkhouse, Water Lane and Pte H Venn,son of Mrs G Beer, Tricky's Court,Silver Street,both of the Devons have been killed in recent battles."

Harry's wife Winfred remarried in 1919 to George Fouracre(1885-1940).
