REMEMBERING THE FALLEN OF WW1

Born in Risca, Newport,Monmouthshire,Wales in 1898.

His parents were Harry Fedrick(1866-1950) and

Sarah Jane Hooper(1866-1950). They were married in 1894.

He had 1 sister Hilda May(01/01/1900-1973).

I have only been able to find 1 census entry for the family and that was in 1911 when the family were recorded as living at

16 Fore Street,Babbacombe,Torquay,Devon.

Sidney(or Sydney,I cannot confirm the correct spelling)was still at school,whilst his father was a wall mason and his mother was a laundry worker 4 days a week.

He enlisted in Exeter and his date for disembarkation into France was on the 16/12/1915.

He was killed in action on 01/07/1916.

He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star,The British War 1914-1918 and the Allied Victory medals.
