Born in Westminster London in 1885.
His parents were William White(born in 1857) and Elizabeth Frost Stevens(1853-1897). They married on 25/05/1878.
Ernest had 2 brothers; Frederick William(born in 1879) and Frank Henry(born in 1890).
He also had 4 sisters; Edith Margaret(born in 1881),Corrie Charlotte(born in 1883),
Alice Maude(born in 1888) and Emily Maria(1893-1927).
In the 1891 census,the family were recorded as living at 18 Coleheme Mews Kensington,London. William was employed as a domestic servant.
In the 1911 census it recorded that Ernest had left the family home and was living with his brother Frederick at 58 Ifield Road,West Brompton,London. He was working as a stores clerk in a department store.
He enlisted in london and was killed in action on 01/07/1916.
He was awarded the 1914-1918 British War and
Allied Victory medals.
