​The only son of Arthur Edward & Marian Wilcockson of 26 Susans Road, Eastbourne.
Born in Eastbourne in 1897.
In the 1911 census, Jack is recorded as being aged 14 and still at school.
His fathers occupation was that of a window blind maker.
He enlisted into the London Regiment(Civil Service Rifles) before transferring to "C" Heavy Battery (Tanks). He was killed in action near Ypres. *
