Born in Magheragill County Antrim,Ireland in 1891.
No information is available to who his parents were,as in both the Irish census' of 31-03-1901 and 02-04-1911,he is recorded as living with his uncle David Scott,a farmer,firstly in Ballaycarrickmaddy,Knocknadona,County Antrim and then in Ballymadolly,County Antrim.
He enlisted in Lisburn,County Antrim and his dis-embarkation into France was on 05-10-1915.
He was killed in action on 08-06-1917.
