Born in Holloway, Middlesex on 20/10/1898.
His parents were Edwin Willie E. Evans(1872-1906) and
Ellen Sarah Adams(1874-1960). they married in 1897.
Eric had 1 brother ,Alfred(born in 1903).
In the 1901 census,the family are recorded living at 170 Estcourt Road,Fulham. Edwin was employed as a fireman,possibly
with a railway company.
In the 1911 census the family now lived at 3 Parkville Road Fulham.With Eric's father passing away in 1906 his mother
was now working as a daily domestic servant.
In 1912 Eric's mother remarried to John W Kettley.
Eric enlisted in West London as Rifleman S/24015 into The Rifle Brigade.He was later transferred as Rifleman 12/42366 In the
12th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles.
He was killed in action on 07/06/1917.
