Born in Syerston,Nottinghamshire in 1896.
His parents were William House(born in 1860),a farmer and his mother Annie(born in 1861 in Brentwood ,Essex).
They married in 1894.
He had 1 brother,(William(29/07/1894-1981) and 1 sister,
Annie Emma(born in 1897).
In the 1901 census,the family were recorded as living in Syerston Village,near Newark,Nottinghamshire.
His father was employed as a carrier of goods and passengers.
He enlisted in Newark as Private(41097) into the Notts & Derby Regiment.
He was later transferred as a Rifleman(43020) into the
11th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
He was killed in action on 07/06/1917.
