Born in New Cross, London in 1897.
His parents were William Edmund Whitehouse(born in1861), a teacher of music and Harriett Annie(nee Penstone(married on the 28-07-1890)) ,born in 1864.
He had a brother,William Leslie(born in 1895) and in the 1911 census,they were all recorded as living at
The Waldrons,Gravel Hill,Bexley Heath.
He enlisted at Bow, Middlesex as a Private(2972) into the
5th Battalion London Regiment and was later transferred as a Rifleman(44595) into the 12th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles.
He was killed in action on 07-06-1917.
